Thursday, February 18: Pendulum Lab Investigation
- Today is our first day of Chapter 10, where we will study square roots (radicals). To introduce this concept, you are going to complete the following pendulum lab investigation (lab is attached below and passed out in class to in-person students).
- Start by reading the first page of the lab.
- Once you have read the first page, watch the following video explaining how to do the lab: How to Do the Pendulum Lab (click link)
- Complete the lab (here is a shortcut link to the lab simulator, CLICK HERE) and then turn in pictures of your completed lab to Teams by 3 PM tomorrow. The lab is the only task for today.

Wednesday, February 24: Finish 10.4 HW and Catch-Up Day
- Complete the 10.4 HW assignment from yesterday and turn it in to Teams.
- The amount of students not completing assignments has been on the rise the last few weeks, so please take the opportunity today seriously and try to get back on track if you have let some assignments slide. The issue is, the topics we study build, so if you don't practice them as we are learning them it weakens your foundational knowledge as we move forward.
So, set yourself up for success and use today to get back on track if you need it! - Review sections 10.1-10.4 for our quiz tomorrow if you don't have any missing assignments.

Wednesday, March 3: PowerSchool Check-In
You have two tasks for the day:
1) Log in to PowerSchool and make a list of any HW assignment, quiz, or test you have not completed and it is marked as a 0 in PowerSchool. Take a picture of that list and turn it in to Teams by 3 PM tomorrow. Even if your list is blank, take a picture of a blank piece of paper with your name on it and turn that in.
2) If you had anything on your list from step 1, complete AT LEAST two of those and get them turned in. If you don't have any missing, you are done for today except for reviewing for the quiz tomorrow.

Friday, March 26: Preview of Probability through Desmos Activity
When we come back from spring break we will be starting our last chapter of Algebra 1, which is on probability and statistics. To preview some of the probability ideas in that chapter, complete the Desmos activity by following the directions below. You do not need to turn anything in, the program will save/track your progress and I can click into the dashboard to make sure you completed the activity.
